About

In 1925, Senator John Simon Guggenheim and his wife, Olga, established the John Simon Memorial Foundation in honor of their late son. In his first letter of gift, the senator wrote that the organization’s aim was to “add to the educational, literary, artistic, and scientific power of this country.”

How to Apply

The Foundation welcomes applications from mid-career individuals with a significant professional record and a promising future in their chosen field. The competition portal opens to applicants in mid-August and closes
in mid-September every year.
